What comes in our mind when we hear the word ‘beauty’? Is it about having a pretty face or soul filled with kindness? Well, I prefer the latter.
On this generation of ours, beauty is overlooked by tons of people. For them, it is about having almond-shaped eyes, pointed nose, plump lips, defined jaw and a flawless skin. Physical aspects that are too perfect to be true. That’s why discontented individuals are full of insecurity. Because for them, beauty is measured by its outside appearance.
But for me, it never was.
Beauty, for me, is about having a pure heart and a clean conscience. Real beauty is about having the form of godliness inside and out. Beauty is about having faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and most of all, having love (2 Peter 1:5 – 8).
No matter what skin color you have. What race you came from. Always remember that beauty always comes from within. You’re beautiful because you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) by the Creator of all things.
